I am a young researcher and aspiring medical student with a special interest in the gut-brain axis, immunopsychiatry, methodology, and philosophy of science. I have experience in precision probiotic development (including patent application work), microbiome and psychometric data research, evidence synthesis, science communication, and philosophical-critical analysis. I am currently working full-time as a research assistant at the Copenhagen Research Centre for Biological and Precision Psychiatry during my gap year prior to medical school.

Full-time research during an academic gap year prior to medical school. Working on a systematic review and meta-analysis on butyrate and psychiatric disorders. Clinical assistance in the PSYCH-FLAME study. Supervised by Troels Boldt Rømer and Michael Eriksen Benros. Funded by Grosserer L.F. Foghts Fond.

University of Copenhagen – Dept. of Public Health, Section of Epidemiology

Investigated the link between a lower prevalence of butyrate-producing bacteria and increased severity of psychiatric symptoms, utilizing data from the Danish National Birth Cohort (DNBC) and the GlutenFunen subcohort.
